Thanks to a school-wide effort of teachers and staff at Seneca and Sequoya Middle Schools in the Sachem CSD, students proudly wore t-shirts purchased to raise money for veterans’ causes emblazoned with “Sachem Supports The Troops”. The start of the 9/11 Heroes Run 5K & 1Mile Fun Run/Walk Saturday at Cranbury Park in Norwalk. Large portions of the proceeds raised stay in the host race communities to fund your local first responder, military, and veteran nonprofits who partner with the Travis Manion Foundation. Remaining proceeds support Travis Manion Foundation Challenge Grants, which provide veterans and families of fallen service members by providing camaraderie, transition assistance, grief support, and education through service-based initiatives.
