Team Jesse Receives Support from Norwalk High School Lacrosse Community

May 17, 2012 – On Senior Night for the Norwalk High School Boys Lacrosse team, the Norwalk lacrosse community came together to support the graduating players from the Class of 2012 and raised over $1,300 to support the efforts of The Team Jesse Foundation. On a night when 10 seniors played the last home game of their high school careers, the NHS Boys Lacrosse team beat Trinity Catholic in a solid win that saw contributions from each member of the senior class.  Prior to the game, Team Jesse Co-Founder Matt Corry and Team Jesse supporter Mike Corry addressed the team about looking after one another, keeping the promises they’ve made to each other, setting a good example for their younger teammates and about acknowledging the efforts of our nation’s military.

Both Matt and Mike Corry are NHS Lacrosse alumni and were touched by the support offered by their friend and fellow alumni, Chris McGee.  As Head Coach for NHS Boys Lax, McGee has made Senior Night a fund raising opportunity for the school and the community at large and was instrumental in arranging with the NHS Athletic Department to support the evenings fund raising efforts.

Thanks to Norwalk High School, NHS Boys Lacrosse, Class of 2012, Chris McGee and the entire Norwalk lacrosse community for their generosity in helping Team Jesse provide education and support to families of the fallen.
